BBBC Learning and Innovision
In 2010 I wrote and compiled a successful bid to BBC Learning for Innovision, a leading event production company, to create a series of twelve interactive, multimedia exhibitions around the UK accompanying the BBC2 programme Turn Back Time: The High Street.
Once the bid was approved, I kicked off the design process for the project and sourced historic props, working with writer and museums interpretation specialist Steve Slack, and event designer Debbie Bartlett.
The team sourced 12 empty shop premises on high streets across the UK for our touring pop-up events, from Clacton to Armagh! Actors played the part of shopkeepers and showed family audiences how food shopping used to be done in in the 1930s.
