Revealed!

ROYAL PUMP ROOMS ART GALLERY & MUSEUM

As Curator of Fine Art at the Museum from 2003-6, I managed, promoted and raised funds for exhibitions, education and events.

In 2005 I created 'Revealed', an exhibition which brought works to the attention of the public that had not been seen for years because of their size, weight, fragility or general state of disrepair.

I invited assistants at the gallery to help curate and select work for the show. Works included Damien Hirst's 'The Last Supper', a series of 13 giant framed prints each more than 1.5 x 1m in size. The exhibition also featured out-sized ceramics, medieval Dutch paintings, a series of drawings by Walter Sickert and an important collection of delicate 18thC Japanese prints.

The project was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the breadth of the collection and to educate the public about the importance of fine art conservation.

The project was funded by Warwick District Council and Arts Council England.

Exhibitions are our favourite way to communicate ideas. If you think we can help with your project, please contact us.
