Are We There Yet?

A Day Trip to Banksy's Dismaland & Other Stories

BOOK/ TOURING EXHIBITIONS

We are working with Barry Cawston on a book, exhibition and social media project based on his recent documentary photographs of Banksy's Dismaland and Weston Super Mare.

Like many Bristol kids, Banksy used to holiday in Weston and play at the Tropicana leisure centre, where he was to install his vast 'Bemusement Park' some thirty years on.

While the title for this project nods to Banksy's Weston links old and new, it shakes its head in disbelief at the state of British culture represented by the visual similes which Cawston constructs between downtown Weston, and the scathing sideshows of Dismaland.

Not for nothing did the world's most famous street artist choose Weston Super Mare as the venue for his harshest satire fest to date.

So, 'Are We There Yet?' you may ask. Well yes, unfortunately I think we probably are.

Tristan Manco, a Dismaland contributor, designed and wrote for the book, which is available here.

Pest Control are aware of this project.
